雅思寫作口語技巧：虛擬語氣的使用（二）

　　假造語氣在狀語從句中的用法

　　1、假造語氣在as if/as though引誘的方法狀語從句中的用法

　　假造語氣用在as if/as though引誘的方法狀語從句中，謂語動詞用曩昔時(be用 were)或"had+ 曩昔分詞" 情勢。

　　When a pencil is partly in a glass of water, it looks as if it were broken.假如把鉛筆的部門放在盛水玻璃杯中，鉛筆看上去似乎斷了。

　　The two strangers talked as if they had been friends for years.

　　那兩個生疏人走在一路，似乎是多年的同夥。

　　It seems as if it were spring already.

　　如今恍如已經是春季了。

　　He spoke as though he had known it.

　　他提及話來，似乎他曉得了似的。

　　2、假造語氣在目標狀語從句中的用法

　　再for fear that, in order that, so that, lest引誘的目標狀語從句中，謂語動詞一樣平常用should(could, might)+動詞本相表達假造語氣，lest引誘得從句用should+動詞本相,should 可以省略。

　　I obeyed her lest she should be angry.

　　我得順著她，省得她朝氣。

　　Be careful lest you fall from that tree.

　　要小心, 以避免從樹上摔下來。

　　In order that she could catch the train, she hurried through her work. 為了趕火車，她促做完了她的事情。

　　I will not make a noise for fear that I might disturb you.

　　我不會作聲的，以避免打攪你。

　　假造語氣在表語從句和同位語從句的用法

　　在proposal, suggestion, order, requirement, desire,

　　decision, advice, plan, necessity

　　等表現發起、請求、敕令等名詞的背面的表語從句和同位語從句中，可用“動詞本相”或“should +動詞本相”假造語氣。

　　His suggestion is that the meeting be put off.

　　他的發起是推延開會。

　　He made the suggestion that we go by train.

　　他發起咱們坐火車去。

　　It is time that的假造情勢

　　在“It is (high) time + that 從句”構造中，用“did 型”假造語氣，意為“到了做某事的時光了”。意思是早該幹罷了經有些晚了。

　　在這類情況下經常使用曩昔時。

　　謂 語 動 詞 的 虛 擬 形 式

　　It is(high/about)time that

　　動詞曩昔式(be多用were)

　　It is high time that you caught the bus.

　　是你該趕車的時刻了。

　　It is (high) time that you went to school.

　　到了你上學的時光了。

　　比擬if only與only if

　　only if表現“只有”;“if only”則表現"假如……就行了"。If only也可用於陳說語氣。

　　I wake up only if the alarm clock rings.

　　只有鬧鐘響了，我才會醒。

　　If only the alarm clock had rung.

　　其時鬧鐘響就行了。

　　If only he comes early.

　　希望他早點返來。

　　If only I had more money!

　　如果我有更多的錢就行了!

　　英語中有些習用語包括著假造語氣

　　1、提出要求或約請

　　Would you leave a note for her!

　　你要不要給她留張便條。

　　I should be grateful, if you would be kind enough to help me.

　　假如你願幫我，我將不堪感謝。

　　2、提出發起或奉勸

　　You might as well put the meeting off for a couple of days.

　　你無妨把集會向後推延兩天。

　　It would be best if you didn't lend him the money.

　　你不借給他錢那是最佳。

　　3、表現欲望、祝賀或咒罵

　　Long live…! 萬歲……

　　God bless you! 一起安然。(送別時用語)

　　Oh，If I knew it is only a trap.

　　啊，我要曉得這是圈套就行了。
