GMAT語法：介詞+which定語從句方法論

　　瀏覽中，總會不經看法到如許的構造：within/over/from/on/in/by/…which從句，腦殼就會忽然短路，信息流一下中止，想續上就再讀一遍，成果照樣卡住，很悲涼的說。。。

　　碰到如許的情形，來看看下面的辦法吧，有效沒用本身一試就曉得！

　　先看個句子：

　　Used in this way, intuition is an almost instantaneous cognitive process (in which) a manager recognizes familiar patterns.

　　第一個題目：which指的是誰?

　　指的是名詞process！

　　第二個題目：which在從句中有甚麽用?

　　從句的骨幹是a manager recognizes familiar patterns，主謂都在吧？對，都在！那末which在從句內裏就不是主語了，那它有甚麽感化呢？

　　DUANG！咱們的辦法來了！

　　記著：今後讀到這類構造的時刻，把“介詞+ which”直接放到從句內裏去懂得。就像如許：a manager recognizes familiar patterns in (the) process

　　如許好懂得了嗎?

　　句意便是：直覺是一個認知進程;在這個過程當中，司理辨認熟習的模式。

　　再看一個有點難度的：

　　Because consumers recognize that color advertisements are more expensive than black-and-white, the point at which repetition of an advertisement is perceived as excessive comes sooner for a color advertisement than for a black-and-white advertisement.

　　前半句話很好懂得：由於花費者們熟悉到：彩色告白比詬誶告白更貴，以是……

　　後半句忽然卡住了。。。咱們一路來嘗嘗適才的辦法吧。

　　at which指代at the point，放到背面從句裏去，從句的骨幹也找出來：

　　repetition of an advertisement is perceived as excessive (at the point)

　　意識是說：在某個點上，告白的反復被以為是過分

　　再把殘剩的部門連起來：

　　the point (at which repetition of an advertisement is perceived as excessive) comes (sooner) for a color advertisement (than) for a black-and-white advertisement

　　意思是說：這個點對彩色告白來講要比詬誶告白來的更快些。即，彩色告白更早蒞臨界點，詬誶告白較晚蒞臨界點。

　　末了再把全部句子湊到一路：

　　由於花費者們熟悉到彩色告白比詬誶告白更貴，以是(告白的反復被以為是過分的)誰人點對彩色告白來講要比詬誶告白來的更快些。

　　怎樣，記著了嗎?多練幾個吧！

　　they are applied to the sites — if the sites have never mineralized

　　their lands would have been useless without the waters
