清華大學實驗室爆炸致1人遇難

　　A laboratory in Tsinghua University exploded on Friday morning and a lab assistant was killed, according to source from Beijing municipal fire authority. The explosion is still under investigation.

　　One of them was that at about 1:20 pm on Tuesday,2003.Three people were injured in an explosion in Nongyuan dining hall at Peking University. A witness said windows on the second floor of the dining hall were totally shattered because of the explosion.

　　The other explosion was that happened at Tsinghua University also in 2003. Six people were injured, two of them severely, as the explosion rocked a dining hall. The blast occurred on the first floor of "Heyuan" dining hall, at the center of Tsinghua campus. Over 30 people were having lunch there at the time. University officials were at the scene shortly after the explosion.

　　The police have detected homemade charcoal gunpowder dynamite on the two explosion scenes.

　　The explosion of this Tsinghua university, however, is still under investigation. It is never too late. Taking the lessons from these incidents, in addition to tsinghua and Peking University,other colleges and universities should also give enough attention and vigilance.
