WeChat,a Tencent-backed popular messagingapplication that boasts half a billion users, will startto charge individual users to transfer money fromthe app's digital wallet service to their personal bankaccounts.

WeChat said on Monday that it will start to charge afee of 0.1 percent for each transfer from its digitalwallet service called WeChat Wallet to users'personal bank accounts from March 1. The minimum charge for each transfer is 0.1 yuan.
本周一,微信方面宣告自3月1日起,從微信錢包提現至銀行賬戶將收取用度,而收費額度依照提現金額的0.1%履行,且每筆最少收取0.1元。
But each individual user is still allowed to transfer up to 1,000 yuan ($154) for free from March1.
然則自3月1日起,每位用戶仍可享受最高1000元(約154美金)的免費提現額度。
WeChat said the new move isn't meant to make profits but to cover the charges banks imposeon transactions.
微信方面表現,提現生意業務收費並不是微信付出尋求營收之舉,而是用於付出銀行手續費。
"WeChat has been covering the cost for users. With the growth of our businesses, the costrises rapidly, making it difficult for WeChat to shoulder it anymore," WeChat said in astatement.
微信在一份聲明中說道,“曩昔一向都是微信本身付出生意業務手續費,但跟著營業的增加,本錢快速上升,使得微信沒法持續承當這筆用度。”
The move is expected to help encourage WeChat users to use the digital wallet service to payonline and offline rather than transferring money to their bank accounts.
據悉,此舉有多是想刺激微信譽戶應用電子錢包舉行線上和線下付出營業,而不勉勵提現營業。
According to WeChat, it has partnered with brick-and-mortar businesses across the country,including more than 100,000 brick-and-mortar stores, more than 80,000 restaurants and 600parking lots.
據微信表現,它已和包含100000多家實體店,80000多家餐館和600多個泊車場等在內的遍及天下的實體商家舉行了相幹的互助。
