　　Accommodation

　　The cost of accommodation varies widely throughout Gothenburg. The more flexible you are in terms of location and type of accommodation, the lower the rent can be. Kitchens are almost always furnished (with fridge, freezer, stove etc.), but be prepared to pay extra for electricity and internet.

　　Transport

　　A monthly pass for the local public transport costs between SEK 435 and 580, depending on if you are under or over 26 years old. Gothenburg is a bicycle-friendly city. Riding a bicycle will not only save you money but in some cases get you faster from one place to another.

　　Eating out

　　Dining out at restaurants can be somewhat expensive in Sweden, though student bars and restaurants often have discounted prices.

　　Lunch at a student restaurant on or around campus typically costs SEK 55–70; at an average café or restaurant SEK 65–95. Dinner starts at SEK 100–150, not including drinks. At most restaurants and bars, an inexpensive beer or glass of wine will cost about SEK 60; prices can be significantly lower at events arranged by student unions.
