  Greek voters have decisively rejected the terms of a bailout deal offered by internationallenders. With all of votes now counted, more than 61% of people said no, thousands ofsupporters of the no campaigner celebrating in front of the parliament in Athens, waving flags,chanting and setting off fireworks. The Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras said the outcomewas not a vote against Europe, but a mandate for negotiating a viable solution to the debtcrisis.

  “Dear Greeks, today’s referendum doesn’t have winners and losers, it is a big victory by itself.Today, altogether, we wrote a glorious page in European history, we proved that even in theworst circumstance democracy cannot be blackmailed. We also proved that when a nationhas a faith and collective consciousness it can stand and overcome any difficulties.”

  The head of Eurogroup Jeroen Dijsselbloem said the referendum result was very regrettablefor the future of Greece. Euro zone leaders will hold a summit on Tuesday to discuss thesituation. The German and French leaders who spoke on the phone say the will of the Greekpeople has to be respected. The president of the European parliament Martin Schulz said it wasup to Greece to come up with solutions.

  “I hope that the Greek government, they are making in the next coming hours, a meaningfuland constructive proposal that allowing that it is possible to renegotiate. If not, we areentering a very difficult and even dramatic time.”

  Some European ministers have expressed shock at that result. But the Italian foreign ministersaid it was time to resume talks on a new deal. In Spain, the leader of the anti-austerityPodemos party Pablo Iglesias welcomed the results as a decisive victory for democracy.

  The value of Euro has fallen against the dollar and Yen amid speculation that Athen has takena significant step towards leaving the Euro zone. As our economic editor Robert Pastern reportsthe Greek economy is now in a dire situation.

  “Even in combat by severe restriction on cash transfers and withdraws, I have learned thatGreek banks are just days away from running out of cash and collapsing, a humanitariandisaster in Mr. Tsipras’s words. Because in those circumstances, not only would millions ofGreeks lose their savings, but companies would collapse, and Greece will run out of vitalimport of food, raw materials and medicine. Greek banks are desperately in need of lender’slast resort to save them and Greek economy. And no bank or central bank have much spokenthe relieves, the European central bank can’t any longer fulfill that function. ”

  After the outcome of the referendum became clear, the leader of Greece’s main oppositionparty resigned, Antonis Samaras had campaigned for a yes vote.

  Tens of thousands of people have greeted Pope Fransis as he arrived in Ecuador, a start of a-week long trip to some of South America’s poorest countries. As he landed, the Pope saideveryone in society should be able to benefit from global progress and developments.

  Nigerian police say there have been two explosions in the central city of Jos. One blast occurredoutside a restaurant, the other near a Mosque. Some reports suggested the target of thesecond attack was a Muslim cleric who denounced the Islamist militant group Boko Haram.

  The US Secretary of State John Kerry has said that after 9 days of talks on Iran’s nuclearprogram, several of the most difficult issues remain unresolved, but genuine progress hasbeen made. He said the US was willing to walk away if it met intransigence from Tehran.

  And in a dramatic Women’s World Cup Football final, the United States has beaten Japan 5-2in front of 50,000 strong crowd in the Canadian city of Vancouver. Four of the America’s goalscame in the first 50 minutes including a hat-trick from Carli Lloyd, whose third goal was struckfrom the halfway line.

  “There is a long range run and coming in, that is folio, Carli Lloyd has completed the hat-trickwith a unbelievable effort from 45 yards, she called the goal keeper off her line, the ball click thepost on its way into the net, and the Unites States players are mobbing, Carli Lloyd, what acaptain performance.”

  It was a record third title for the US team.

  A British astronomer say they detected five giant black holes that previously been obscuredby dust and gas. The high energy X-rays they emit were picked up by NASA’s powerful newstar space telescope. These black holes which can have billions of times the mass of our ownsun are known to lie at the heart of all large galaxies.
