  Undergraduate Entry Requirements

  Meeting academic requirements is only one of the factors taken into account when selectors make their decision on an application. Other factors include suitability for the course, proficiency in English (you will need to have passed a College-approved English Language test), relevant work experience and references are also important.

  Academic requirements

  Please note that these are the College minimum entry requirements and each Department is able to ask for higher grades than listed. All entry requirements are devised by Imperial College London and are unique to the College.

Qualification:International Baccaulaureate

Requirement:Overall scores of 38-42, with scores of 6-7 in relevant subjects.Please note Mathematical Studies cannot take the place of Mathematics, where Mathematics is specified as a required subject.

  English language requirement

  As part of the application process you will be asked to show that you have met the College’s English-language requirement. You can do this in a number of ways:

  Successfully pass the Imperial College London Pre-sessional English Programme. This equips international students with the academic language skills and literacy typically needed to begin postgraduate research or postgraduate taught courses in science, engineering and medicine.

  Take an English language proficiency test

  Provide evidence of a previous qualification that you have taken that confirms your English level

  Provide evidence that you meet one of our English language exemptions

  How to apply

  If your school or college is registered with UCAS you will be able to apply the same way as UK students; otherwise individuals from the EU (excluding the UK) and worldwide will need to apply online independently. Advice is normally available from your school or college. You are responsible for paying the correct application fee, for obtaining and attaching the academic reference and for submitting the completed application online to UCAS.

  Key Dates and Deadlines

  The opening date for UCAS applications for admissions in October 2016 is 01 September 2015.

  The deadline for the submission of applications to qualify for full and equal treatment is:

  Applicants including Oxford and Cambridge among their entries – 15 October 2015

  Applicants including Medicine among their entries – 15 October 2015

  All other applications – 15 January 2016

 

  Applicants for courses requiring BMAT scores as part of the assessment for entry need to have registered for this test no later than 15 October 2015
