　　Prerequisite to enroll in English language degree programs

　　Proof of sufficient English language skills must be submitted before the end of the application period for all degree programs whose language of instruction is English.

　　Please note: Even English documents must be notarized, unless the Institute sends them directly to us (TOEFL, IELTS). For information regarding other forms of proof-of-language-proficiency accepted by your degree program, please consult the Fachprüfungsordnung for your program.

　　RECOGNIZED LANGUAGE CERTIFICATES

　　TEST OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (TOEFL)

　　Minimum Requirements:

　　Internet based Test ( IbT) : 88

　　Computer based Test ( CbT) : 234

　　Paper based Test (PbT) : 605

　　If you send TOEFL to us via ETS, please use the following TOEFL CODE: university: 7806; department: 99

　　Please note: TOEFL ITP is not accepted.

　　INTERNATIONAL ENGLISH LANGUAGE TESTING SYSTEM (IELTS)

　　A minimum score of 6.5 and the Academic Module will only be accepted.

　　CAMBRIDGE MAIN SUITE OF ENGLISH EXAMINATIONS

　　CAE (Cambridge Advanced English), Level A,B,C

　　CPE (Cambridge Proficiency English), Level A,B,C

　　PROOF OF GERMAN UNIVERSITY ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS

　　School leaving certificate in Germany (Abitur or vocational school diploma):

　　Good grade in English (minimum of 10 points on average)

　　LANGUAGE OF INSTRUCTION IS/WAS ENGLISH

　　Evidence in the form of certificates or citizenship is required. Semesters spent in an exchange program or practicum are not sufficient.
