Living costs
The living costs will largely depend on your personal life-style. Remember that living abroad in an unfamiliar environment always stretches one’s budget. Including the rent students will have to count with approx. 500,-- to 600,-€ per month.
We strongly recommend you not to begin your studies without the necessary financial means. Exchange students won’t be charged any study fees, you will only have to pay the matriculation fee every semester.
Study fees
Since summer term 2007 all students in Baden-Württemberg and Bavaria have to pay 500 Euro tuition fee each semester additional to the semster fee and the administrative fee. You receive a bank transfer request with your study admission letter and your recapture for the next semester.
Cafeteria
’Mensa’ is the German term for the university cafeteria. There is one cafeteria on the campus Prittwitzstraße 10 (G-Building) on this campus there is you will also find a small cafeteria where you can get drinks and little snacks. At On the campus Albert-Einstein-Allee 55 (Eselsberg) and Eberhard-Finckh-Straße 11 in Böfingen there are small cafeterias as well. The price for lunch is € 2.30.
