  REGISTRATION

  University registration fees for the 2014/2015 academic year are €184 for an undergraduate degree course and €254 for a Master’s course.

  Students eligible for a grant are exempt from tuition fees.

  FINANCING YOUR STUDIES

  Grants:

  You may be entitled to a grant to help finance your higher education studies.Please check your eligibility at www.crous.fr.

  Applications need to be made between 15 January and 30 April.

  Local council aid: Some local councils offer educational grants (e.g., student minimum income scheme in Plougastel or student loan scheme in Quimper).You can make enquiries at your local town hall

  Région Bretagne aid:

  The region provides educational grants to students in cer-tain disciplines.

  ACCOMMODATION

  The university accommodation services (CLOUS) in Brest and Quimper offer over 1,550 rooms.These halls of residence are in the immediate vicinity of the University.A renovated room with an Internet connection costs around €240 per month.

  FOOD AND DRINK

  All five university restaurants serve healthy three-course meals for just over €3.You may prefer to have a drink or a quick snack in one of the several campus cafeterias.The university has launched a multi-service payment card that can be used on any academic site in Brittany.

  SPORT

  Brest’s recent top-of-the-range facilities include 4 multi-sport halls, 1 artificial turf football pitch, 1 rugby pitch, 1 athletics track, a gym and facilities for combat sports, dance, fitness, etc.

  Subscription: €30 per year for the SPORT card, €20 supple-ment for water sports (medical certificate required)

  CULTURE

  Cultural events are organized throughout the year, such as public lectures, shows, exhibitions and a student art festival.
