　　A. Nationality/Academic Requirements

　　1) Freshman Students

　　- Applicants must meet one of the two Nationality/Academic requirements below

　　a. Both the applicant and the applicant’s parents are of non-Korean nationality. The applicant must have completed (or is expected to complete) secondary education.

　　b. The applicant of non-Korean nationality who has completed 12 years (or more) of primary and secondary education outside of Korea.

　　- Applicants must meet one of the two Nationality/Academic requirements below

The applicant must have completed secondary foreign education and at least two full academic years (4 semesters) in a degree program at a four-year university or in an equivalent Bachelor’s degree program. Transfer students will be admitted as junior (third-year) students.

　　b. The applicant of non-Korean nationality who has completed 12 years (or more) of primary and secondary education and at least two full academic years (4 semesters) in a degree program at a four-year university or in an equivalent Bachelor’s degree program outside of Korea. Transfer students will be admitted as junior (third-year) students.

　　* In the case of two or three-year colleges, only those applicants who have graduated (or are expected to graduate) can apply as a transfer student.

　　※ Nationality is assessed at the time of the application.

　　※ Korean citizens who hold dual citizenship are ineligible to apply as international students.

　　※ Applicants (and their parents) of Korean origin must submit documents to verify their loss of Korean nationality.

　　※ In a case where an applicant's parents are divorced, the applicant’s nationality eligibility is determined by the nationality of the legal father or mother.

　　※ Foreign applicants who wish to apply as freshman can only apply up to six times within a year for nonscheduled admissions, including all types of admissions to all universities in Korea. Applications in violation of this limit will be cancelled and admission offers will be forfeited. (Exceptions are made for applicants with two parents of non-Korean nationality).

　　- Students must meet one of the following requirements to apply

　　1) A certificate from the Korean Language Program at Korea University

　　2) A certificate of the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK)

　　3) Certificate of Korean proficiency (other than 1 and 2) test score

　　4) A standardized English proficiency test score on one of the following tests: TOEFL, TEPS, IELTS (note: TOEIC is not accepted)

　　5) Applicant’s language proficiency meets qualifications 1 to 4 state above

　　※ Those who are native speakers of Korean(including Ethnic Korean living in China) or English may not submit documents above.

　　※ Admitted applicants who have not achieved Level 4 or above in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK) at the time of their admission must fulfill the requirement before graduation.

　　※ Admitted applicants who have submitted a TOPIK score of level 4 or above or transcripts of level 4 or above from the Korean Language Program at Korea University (including certificates from Korean Language Programs in other universities)are exempted from the Korean Language Level Test conducted by our university.
